Watch this video of our Mental Health Nurse Jessica talk about how to use a thought diary.
By slowing our thoughts down we can figure out what is causing us to feel the way we do. Try writing down:
- Where are you? What is going on around you? Are there any specific triggers?
- What is going through your head? Is there a specific thought?
- How does this make you feel?
Recognising how we perceive certain situations is fundamental to learning to manage our thoughts and feelings.
