Sometimes our thoughts become very rigid. We struggle to see different perspectives and develop alternatives. Asking yourself the following questions should help:
Where are you when you feel intense emotions?
What is happening around you?
What goes through your head?
How do you respond to this thought?
Is the thought helpful?
Are there any alternatives to this thought?
How would you respond to this situation in the future?
